His constant research in the interface environment forms an interesting part of the contemporary developments of interactive design. The fact that he has worked as engineer, art director, freelance designer and the creator of his own interactive design studio 'tha.ltd' gives his work different viewpoints and opportunities.

His aim, he says himself is not to create 'cool motion graphics', but 'a unique communication experience, or interface environment, a reactive field'.

Historical context

Yugo Nakamura graduated from the master's course of school of engineering at the University of Tokyo in 1996. After his graduation he worked as engineer of large scale projects. in 2000 he became the art director at the Japanese web development firm 'business architects inc.' he has worked as a freelance designer and started in his own interactive design studio in 2004.

He became inspired to work with interactive design by other artists and designers such as john maeda, tomato and dextro. He develops his ideas by things that surround him. It became his desire to work on an abstract version of relationships of surroundings.
