Description

The Post-it Note has been designed for temporarily attaching notes. With its sticky strip on the back it's a lot more useful than just using scraps of paper. They're usually used on desks, fridges, books, walls etc. The standard Post-it is a 75mm yellow square paper. They can also come in smaller squares or small strips acting as bookmarks for books and come in various colours, purple, orange, blue, pink etc.

A Personal View

I am the messy type, bits of paper all over my desk normally with scribbled notes to remember things. I'm forgetful too. The Post-it Note comes in very handy for people like me. I have dedicated wall space in my room for them. All my reminders are written on there and as a student it's a good idea to also write project deadlines on them. They can also have the purpose of amusing ones self by writing kick me notes and sticking them on people's back.

Context

Nothing can really be compared to the Post-It note. They're useful for writing down quick bits of information not long essays of writing. If you want to leave a longer note like say an appology to your mother for having broken her vase after playing the wii then yes you would have to use a notebook. Though a simple note of 'gone to get cornflakes' can be easily done with a Post-it note.
